ORDONEZ V. 346 WEST 17TH STREET, LLC AND TOPFLITE CONTRACTING, LLC
NEW YORK COUNTY

Jose Ordonez, a 38 year old construction worker was performing asbestos removal on a cherry-picker at a height of 20 feet at a major construction site in New York City in 2007.  The cherry-picker was not properly secured causing Mr. Ordonez to fall to the ground and sustain back and head injuries. Our firm represented Mr. Ordonez in his personal injury action against the owners of the construction site as well as the general contractor. After a three week trial in March of 2012 our legal team, including trial attorney John Dalli,  obtained a verdict in excess of 10 million dollars for our client.  Mr. Dalli had proven earlier in the case that the construction site owner and the general contractor was legally responsible for Mr. Ordonez’ injuries.  The trial before Justice Theodore Wright addressed damages only.  Mr. Ordonez now has the financial security to care for his wife and children.
