On April 16, 2014 a Nassau County jury found cement truck driver Raymond Ragen guilty of manslaughter and assault in connection with a crash in Locust Valley, New York in 2012.

Jorge Guevara was 45 years old and the father of four children when the school bus he was operating taking autistic children home from summer camp was struck by a cement truck operated by Raymond Ragen.  Ragen was employed by Nicolia Ready Mix, Inc. and had just made a cement delivery and was traveling on Oyster Bay Road when he struck a Long Island Railroad overpass and careened into Mr. Guevara’s school bus.  The impact of the collision caused Mr. Guevara to sustain horrific injuries which led to his death. Dalli & Marino, LLP has filed a wrongful death lawsuit against Ragen and Nicolia his employer on behalf of Mr. Guevara’s children.
